45 61. Then both the kings got prepared the battle-field and began to fight (to win the victory ). First king Kaniya arranged his thirty three thousand elephants (and so forth, down to ) thirty three crores of footsoldiers in the shape of an eagle, and having done so, he entered the Rahamusala battle with his army thus arranged in the shape of an eagle. Then that king Chedaya. arranged his fifty seven thousand elephants. ( and so forth, down to ) fifty seven crores of: foot-soldiers in the shape of a cart and en. tered the Rahamuşala battle with his army thus arranged in the shape of a cart.
