What is meant by the sense organs (indriya)? An instrument to acquire knowledge by the soul is called sense organ. In other words sense organs are indicators of the soul.

What is the meaning of 'quasi or internal sense organ' (anindriya)? Mind, mana, antah karana, manasa are synonym of quasi sense organ. Here the prefix 'an' before indriya is used to denote a little or slight i.e. mind is also slightly like sense organs.
