Fremont, CA. The new executive of Jain Center of northern California was recently held, and the response was great. The new officers elected are: Navin Dedhia-President, Ashok Patrawala &
Pravin Turakhia-Vice Presidents, Lina Turakhia-Secretary, Ashin Vora-Treasurer, Leena Shah-Public Relations and Hasmukh Shah, Kirit Bavishi, Niru Shah, Deepa Doshi, Chandu Desai, Rekha Mehta, Pratap Parekh, Tarunika Itchhaporia-members.
Mrs Datta Shah, the outgoing Secretary who did a tremendous job, will surely be missed. Mrs Datta's services as the past Secretary were greatly appreciated.
BRONZE CONGRESSIONAL AWARD FOR A YOUNG JAIN
Seven Hills, OH. The Board of Directors of the Congressional Award of the United States has chosen Nirav Kumar Vora, the sixteen year old, for the congressional medal and an achievement recognition certificate. Nirav has been commended for his voluntary services in the community and his achievements in the personal development and physical fitness areas.

Reston, VA. The Jain Society of Washington held its Annual Program Saturday, December 19,1987. Mr Bruce Constain of Toronto was the chief guest at the gathering. The program began at 3.30 PM with a short speech by the guest and it was followed by discussion with the audience. Later, President Manoj Dharamsi presented activities report 1987 and it followed election of the executives for 1988.
