________________ ACHARYA SHANTI SAGAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED IN TAMIL NADU Poonumalai, TN. The Anniversary of Sri Shanti Sagar, a great Jain monk of high stature and spiritual strengths of the early and mid 20th century, was organised here by Kunda Kunda Curkul under the guidance of sri Vijayamati Mataji. The highlight of the event, where the students from the Gurkul participated, was a speech contest on the life of Shant Sagar. The values, virtues and the vibrancy of Shanti Sagar's life; his humanist message of peace, love, ahimsa and harmony for a progressive community of human as well other beings were presented by the participants of the contest. Otherwise they recreated Shanti Sagar's life through words and their sounds. The social and religious awareness and the following changes brought about by Shanti Sagar's message, mastery and vision were provoking and played a dominant role in shaping the society.
