________________ JAIN TEMPLES AND PLACES OF INDIA SUCCESSFUL TOUR ORGANISED BY JMIC, NY Newyork, NY.Jain Meditation International Center, 244 Ansonia Stn., New York, NY 10023, founded by philosopher spiritualist Gurdev Chitrabhanu, organised the tour of Jain temples and places during November 1987. A group of 18 followers from the United States under the spiritual guidance of Gurdev Chitrabhanu immensely experienced their inner peace and providence through their voyage. The tour took them to Sravanabelagola, where emperor Chandra Gupta with his religious Curu Badrabahu made history over 2288 years ago and the monolithic granite statue of Lord Bahubali, son of the first Tirthankara, Rishab, was carved 1007 years ago by the then premier of the ruling Ganga kings. At Palitana, the Shatrunjaya temples provided breathtaking, inspiring and memorable moments to the voyageurs with special vibrations imparted through their architectural beauty and magnitude. Joy was exclaimed at Mt. Abu where atop Delwara temples exhibit exquisite and spectuacular architectural beauty. At the Adinath alcove, a lengthy meditation was held and Gurdev gave special blessings to each and performed initiations. Other highlight here was Gurdev with his father climbed the moutain at Achalgarh and spent time together meditating. It is recalled here that Curdev during his monkhood had spent a lot of time in the area. Later a trip to Taj Mahal in Agra was made. The awe-inspiring temples, Gurdev's guidance and the inner peace and the glow, of the people, are what transformed the participants. Many observed, "Once you have gone, you are quite the same again." But each agreed. It was a memorable important life experience. never PARSHVANATH JAYANTI CELEBRATED AT ST. LOUIS, MO St.Louis, MO.
