By the help of G. restore here: ya pi hi atavi devanashpriyasa na vijiti bhoti tatra. Read devanompriyo savabhutanan achhatim sayamash (for samhy°) samachariyah va°. 3 The inscription on the south face of the rock begins here, C. plate iv in Corpus Inscrip. Ind. C. reads "chât cha°.
