________________ Gas "The limits of inflammability There is a particular limit to excess air or oxygen in combustion of each kind of the gas and when this limit is surpassed the gas becomes non-inflammable. Similarly there is also a particular lower limit of deficient air of oxygen required for combustion of each kind of the gas and when this limit is transgressed, the gas becomes noninflammable. Table 3.8 illustrates both the upper and the lower limits of inflammability.
