Sull Agastyasimha alone quotes a sūtra by title only once. The following table exhibits a distribution of the referred sūtras in each chapter. A Sūtra with a single asterisk indicates that the concerned sutra was directly derived from the Āgamic text in its original form or with a slight modification. A sūtra bearing double asterisks indicates that it is a succinct and systematic presentation of the canonical concept which is originally expressed in the elaborate and prolix passages.
