Now we have to consider as to what can be the position of the astrologically dominated second edition of Praśnavyākaraņa? Is it preserved in some form or other? As for as the existence of the second edition of Praśnavyākarana related with occult sciences is concerned, in my opinion it has also not become extinct, the only thing that has happened is simply that after its separation from Praśnavyākaraņa, it was replaced by a new subject matter solely concerned with influx of Karmas (Asrava) and stoppage of influx of Karmas (Saṁvara). Muni Jinavijayaji has published a text named 'Praśnavyākaraṇākhya Jayapāyada' in Samvat 2015 in Singhi Granthamālā text series No. 43. This text has been published on the basis of an ancient manuscript of palm leave, which was received from the Jaisalmer Jñānabhaņdāra of Ācāryaśākhā of Khartaragaccha dated Vikram era 1336. The original text is in Prakrit language consisting of 378 gāthās. Besides, there is also a Sanskrit tīkā on the aforesaid text available in the library of Pārsvanātha Vidyapeeth, Varanasi. The subject matter of this text is occult science. Jinaratnakośa also refers a text named Jayapāhuda Praśnavyākarana'containing only 228 verses, available at the Santinātha Bhandāra, Khambhat. Similarly, Mahārājā Nepal also informs us about the availability of Praśnavyākarana in his Royal library. According to information received from Shri Agarchandaji Nahta, the copy of the text has been received by Yuvācārya Munishri Nathmalji of the Terāpantha Dharma Saṁgha. A photocopy of this text was donated to Parswanath Vidyapeeth by late Sri Joharimalji Parekh, Ravati, Jodhpur. It could not be studied thoroughly but looking from the comparative point of view, the original gāthās are similar to the text published under the Singhi Jaina Grnathamālā, though its commentary is different. A copy of this text has also been received form L.D. Institute of Indology, Ahmedabad. The Pāļana Jñāna Bhandāra informs regarding the availability of this text.
