As already mentioned Jainendravyākarana of Devanandi (c AD 5th cent.) (first available Jaina grammar of Digambara tradition), Śabdānusāsana by Pályakīrti Sākatāyana (9th cent. AD) or Abhinava Śākațāyana or Jaina śākațāyana of Yapaniya tradition and Siddhahemacandra or Haima Vyākaraṇa or Sabdānuśāsana of Ācārya Hemacandra (AD1150), the most popular work in the Jaina tradition, Śabdānuśāsana or Mustivyäkarana by Malayagiri, the well-known commentator of (first half of the 13th cent. AD) and Bhiksuśabdānuśāsana of Muni Chauthamala, a Terāpanthi Acārya, composed during 1923-1937 AD, are among prominent Jaina grammatical works.
The works on Prakrit grammar are classified as [1] Prakrit grammar: Original and Modern [2] Prakrit grammars and grammarians referred to, [3] Modern works on Prakrit in general, [4] Works on the dialects of Prakrit and [5] Comparative works on Prakrit grammar.
The works on the dialects of Prakrit grammar are again subdivided into heads {I} Inscriptional Prakrit, (II} Ardhamāgadhi, (III) Sauraseni, (IV} Apabhramśa and (V) Deśya Prakrit. [A] Sanskrit Grammar
The survey begins with the mention of text Jainendra Vyakarana and Prakriyā works of Pūjyapāda Devanandi such as (1) Dhātupā. thamūla, (2) Dhātupārāyaṇa, (3) Ganapatha, (4) Uņādisūtra, . (5) Liñgānuśāsana, (6) Liñgānušāsanavyākhyā, (7) Värttikapātha (8) Paribhāṣāpātha and (9) Śikṣāsūtra. Jainendra Vyakarana has following commentaries: 1. Jainendranyāsa, an auto-commentary (lost).
Jainendrabhāşya by anonymous (lost). 2. Mahāvștti or (Jainendra-Vyakaraņa-vștti) by Abhayanandi
(c. 750AD).
