each Pudgala Paramāņu of the food as well as each Pudgala Paramāņu of the human body is sovereign and eternal. Not a single Pudgala Paramāņu can be acquired or destroyed or
manipulated by anybody else. Question: Does it mean that the medicine cannot cure a person? Answer: Again, whatever we see every day is valuable in some
context. However, for our spiritual development our understanding about cure and sickness is to be made clear. In all such everyday happenings including a medical recovery, basically, arrangement and locations of various Pudgala Paramāņu and souls change. (Formation of new compounds is nothing but the change in the arrangement and locations of related Pudgala Paramāņu. In case of births and deaths of living beings, there is a change in the arrangement and locations of related souls and Pudgala Paramānu.) But here a question arises: Who is/are responsible for such changes? The answer given by the relative point of view may appear different from that given by the real point of view. When we speak the language of the relative point of view, then we say that one thing can trigger a change in the location of other things. On the other hand, the real point of view emphasizes that a change in the location of a Paramāņu or soul is possible by the ability of that Paramāņu or soul. The apparent difference in this case in the two points of view can be resolved by understanding the details. Therefore, for a better understanding, let us consider one example:
In the production of hydroelectricity, engineers, water, gravity, labor force, politicians, etc., are involved. Somebody may give credit to all these factors for the production of electricity. But from the view point of Physics, there has not been a production of energy in the real sense. According to Physics, energy can neither be created nor be destroyed. There is simply a conversion of energy from one form to another.
