Note (2): Regarding the plural forms of nouns of Samskṛta and Hindi used in this work, a reader is advised to refer to the the section 'About non-English terms, stanzas, and transliteration' in the beginning of this book. Adharmastikāya: (Also known as Adharma Dravya) One of six kinds of substances which becomes instrumental cause in the stopping of material objects and beings. Adhikarana Kāraka: See Karaka. Adhyavasana: Thoughts and feelings of likings and disliking associated with wrong belief; Volitions responsible for Kärmika bonding; Emotions; Desires. AdhyatmaSthāna: A description related with thoughts and feelings with a sense of oneness with external things (body, etc.) (Reference: Commentary of Gāthā 52 in Atmakhyāti) Ajiva: Non-living. Ajñāna: Spiritual ignorance; Ignorance. Ajñāni: Spiritually ignorant being. Alimgaggahanam: Realization without any mark or symbol. Ananya: One who does not become different; Non-varying. Anekānta: Multiple points of view. AnirdiṣtaSamsthānam: Without any definite shape and size. Antaraya Karma: Hindrance causing Karma. Anubhāga: The intensity or potency of the fruits of bonded Karma.
