INTRODUCTION
Sandhi XC. Liberation of Rāma and Others. In reply to Sitendra's enquiry, Rāma narrated the destinies of Dasaratha, Lavaņa, Ankusa, Aparājitā and others. Bhāmaņdala had once created a magic city in order to help three monks stranded in wilderness during a rainy season. He also used to feed monks. As a reward for those good deeds, he was reborn in the Southern Kuru-land. Rāma also narrated the future births of Rāvāņa, Lakşmaņa and of Sītendra himself. The latter, after pilgrimage and a visit to Brāmaņdala, returned to his heaven. Lavana, Ankuśa, Indrajit, Ghanavāhana, Kumbhakarna and Rāma all attained Nirvāņa in due course.
