PREFACE
The present volume contains the Ayodhya-kāṇḍa and the Sundarakāṇḍa i.e. the second and the third Kāṇḍa of the Paumacarių of Svayambhudeva. It takes up the narrative from the birth of Rama and stops with the arrival of Rama's army at the Hamsadvipa near Lankā.
The manuscript material, principles of text-constitution and method of presenting the text used for this part are the same as those for the First Part. The glossary has been limited to registering select words. A brief outline of the narrative is given. It is followed by a table of metres employed in the Ayodhya and the Sundara.
