From the introductory verses it is clear that this was composed before the destruction of the Jaina 'temple at Mylapore by a tidal wave. Hence it must be placed in the early centuries of the Christian era. It consists of 2 main chapters Eļuttadikāram and Solladikāram. It is composed in the well-known veņbā metre. It is printed together with a well-known old commentary in the Tamil journal Sentamil issued by the authorities of the Tamil Sangam at Madurai.
