nine. The second section has sixteen chapters. This Ariga, as its very name suggests, deals with the way of life of a monk. It furnishes us with materials pertaining to the life of Lord Mahavira. The first section is the oldest of all the Jaina works.
The Satrakstaiga is also divided into two sections. The first section has sixteen chapters and the second seven. This Auga mainly deals with the refutation of heretical doctrines.
The Sthinkliga consists of ten chapters. Each chapter deals with objects according to their puraber. The first chapter start with number 1. It goes wip to to in the treat chapter.
The Shravayihiga, tod; deal with stjects paccording to their numberThu, it continues, in a way, the subject matter of the Sthináriga. It enumerates different objects in i rising numerical groups up to I Kotikoti uf Sagaropamas.
The Vyākhyāprajbapti ar Bhagavatr is divided into forty: one sections. It discusses all types of topics--philosophical, ethical, epistemological, logical, cosmological, mathematical and the like. It throws light on the lives of Lord Mahāvīra, Gośāla, Jamali and many others.
The Jñatadharmakatha is divided into two sections. The first section has nineteen chapters. The second section consists of ten sub-divisions which are further divided into different chapters. Various narratives having a moral purpose form its subject matter.
The Upāsakadaśa consists of ten chapters giving lives of ten principal lay-votaries (Upāsakas) of Lord Mahāvīra. The vows to be observed by a lay-votary are explained in the first chapter. .
The Antakçddaśa is divided into eight sections consisting of ten, eight, thirteen, ten, ten, sixteen, thirteen and ten chapters respectively. It gives lives of some liberated souls.
The Anuttaraupapatikadaśa is divided into three sections consisting of ten, thirteen and ten chapters respectively.
