________________ LITERATURE (1) Ācāranga, (2) Satrakstanga, (3) Süryaprajöapti (4) Uttaradhyayana, (5) Daśavaikālika, (6) Avaśyaka, (7) Vyavahära, (8) Daśāśrutaskandha, (9) Bịhatkaipa, (10) Rşibhāșita. The Niryuktis on the Suryaprajñapti and Rşibhăşita are extinct. The Bhaşyas are also in Prakrit. They explain the text as well as the Niryukti commentary. The following canonical works have Bhāşyas on them : (1) Uttaradhyayana, (2) Daśavaikälika, (3) Avaśyaka, (4) Vyavahāra, (5) Bịhatkalpa, (6) Nisítha, (7) Jitakalpa, (8) Oghaniryukti, (9) Pindaniryukti, (10) Pascakalpa. Jinabhadra and Sanghadasagani (6th century A. D.) are well-known for their Bhăşyas. The author of the Višeşāvasyaka-bhāşya is Jinabhadra. Sanghadāsagaņi is the author of the Bșhatkalpa-bhāşya. The Carnis are in Prakrit mixed with Sanskrit. Jinadāsagani Mahattara ( 7th century A. D. ) is the author of most of the Carni commentaries. The following canonical texts have Carnis on them : (1) Acārānga, (2) Sūtrakṣtănga, (3) Vyākhyāprajañpti, (4) Bịhatkalpa, (5) Vyavahāra, (6) Nisstha," (7) Daśāśrutaskandha, (8) Jitakalpa, (9) Jivabhigama, (10) Jambūdvipaprajñapti, (11) Uttaradhyayana, (12) Avaśyaka, (13) Daśavaikälika. (14) Nandi, (15) Anuyogadvāra, (16) Mahaniśítha, (17) Pancakalpa, (18) Oghaniryukti. The Vșttis are in Sanskrit. Haribhadrasari silāňkasūri, Śäntyācārya, Abhayadevasūrī, Maladhārl Hemacandra, Malayagiri, Dronācārya, Kșemakirti etc. are Sanskrit commentators (from 8th century onwards ). Abhayadevasūri composed commentaries on all the Augas except the first two, viz., the Acārauga and the Sūtrakstānga, which were commented upon by silankasūri. There are canonical commentaries in some modern Indian languages, too.
