________________ ARHUM YOGA CAMP The second session of the camp was held from August 18-31. Adults, youths, and children attended the session. There was Jain and nonJain participants. Main Activities of the camp were silent meditation, Jain philosophy, reincarnation. Learned teachers on these subjects were on hand. Other activities included were swimming, horse riding, roller skating, music, and much more. Acharya Sushil Kumar gave a talk from 10:0012:00 a.m. on Jain philosophy, Namokkar Mantra colours and colours of human aura. Many participants were happy of their new experience at the camp and indicated their desire to go back next year. CHICAGO JAIN SOCIETY OPTS FOR TEMPLE The Jain Society of Chicago has been quietly working since last year to have a temple for its members. Many properties were considered before it made a final selection of a building. This property is located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Formerly, it was a public school. Its appraised value is $1.5 million. It has a total area of 26,000 square feet. A bid has been made to acquire this property at a price of $300,000.00 and a deposit of $27,501.00 has been made in consideration of the purchase and as down payment.
