Cincinnati, Ohio. The Jain Center of CincinnatiDayton celebrated Paryushan from September ilth to 18th. During this period, a Bhavana program was held each evening at member's residence. On the 15th, Dream Dharsan festivity was organized at Hindu Temple, Piyusshah and Vina Shah, from Youth Group, spoke on the importance of the day's festivity. The auctioning of various items of the Dream Darshan brought in over $4,000.00. The attendance was large and several people from Lexington and Columbus participated.
A temple built in wood by Mr. Pravin Shah, a member of the Center, was one of the attractions of this function.
Samvatsari Pratikraman was held on the 18th at 6:00 p.m. Mr. Chotu Shah, Mr. Pulin Sheth, Mrs. Jyoti Shah, and Mrs. Ela Mehta fasted for eight days and Miss Sangeeta Jain fasted for six days. Others, Mrs. Ila Punater, Mrs. Rekha Shah, Mrs. Manjula Shah, Mr. Piyush Shah and Mr. Damaroo Shah fasted between 2-3 days.
