occasion secure great rewards.

offered to all ancestors). Is called Gajachchhays, when the sun and the moon are both in the nakshatra Hasta.
VII. - Asvina-suklapaksha. I. - Navaratr-arambha. (See the same tithi of Chaitra-suklapaksha.) IV. - Vainayaki or Ganesa-chaturthf. [Midday.]
V. - Lalita-panchamt; Upangalalitê-vrata, worship of Durgå. (Afternoon part.] VIII. - Dar gå- or Annapûrņa-ashtami.
