________________ 18|Page of the Hindu Temple in Morrisville. Right from its very inception, our Society has con sistently promoted a variety of religious, intellectual, cultural, social, and charitable activities and programs. In my capacity as a former President, former Member of the Board of Directors, and a former Administrative Advisor, I have indeed been fortunate and blessed to have been able to contribute to such activities. Since the establishment of the Hindu Society, we have witnessed an enhanced spirit of worship, dedication, and devotion amongst our community members and in their efforts towards betterm ent of the humanity. We pray that the Almighty continues to provide inspiration to all of us to be respectful to all religions, and that we may contribute to the peace, joy, and harmony all over the world. May God bless us all! Ram & Shanthi Chandran - Congratulation to HSNC for its 30 anniversary. I was responsible for the facility maintenance and reservation for the HSNC. 1. During the second year of my term we jointly collected money for the handicap ramp which was completed during the following year. 5. Initiated main hall code locking system and completed a year after we left. 6. Set-up computerized reservation system for the temple and hall. 7. A/C system was raised from the below ground to above ground. 8. Upgraded back trailer and make it available for rental and was rented during our time. Wish everyone all the best. Regards. I and my wife Shanthi with our children Ravi and Jayanth used to live in Raleigh/Cary from 1975 and 1991. We have been actively participated in the society activities during this period. The society grew and served the community very well under the leadership of Dr. and Mrs. Sharma (two pillars of the community). We were quite happy to be a part of the growth of the community and the Hindu Society during our stay in Raleigh/Cary. Our contribution is very negligible and we owe a lot to our friends in the Triangle for their help and support. We love the Triangle community and we have decided to come back and start our retirement life in Raleigh/Cary. This will likely happen within the next several years. We look forward to come and do our share of service to this great diversified and unified community. Let us pray the Lord to provide His Grace to all of us and help us to lead a life of sacrifice and service with peace and happiness. We want to take this opportunity to congratulate the Board members and all the behind the scene heroes like you for the success of HSNC. Over the years I have been involved in organizing many cultural and literary activities for the Hindu Society of North Carolina.
