It has been presented in such charan-karan style that if a person is engrossed in its studies, he becomes a scholar and an expert of the subject.
This concludes the description of Drishtivad.
विवेचन-लगता है दृष्टिवाद केवल विशाल ग्रन्थ ही नहीं, अपितु, इसमें संकलित विषय भी बहुत थे और उनका अत्यधिक सूक्ष्मता से सविस्तार वर्णन किया गया था। इसी कारण इसके विभाजन अन्य श्रुतों की अपेक्षा अधिक सारयुक्त और अधिक संख्या वाला है।
इन विभाजनों की परिभाषा इस प्रकार है
वस्तु-बड़े अध्ययन अधिकार, अथवा खण्ड, प्राभृत-मध्यम आकार वाले अध्ययन अथवा प्रकरण, प्राभृत-प्राभृत-छोटे अध्ययन अथवा अध्याय, प्राभृतिका-अध्याय के बड़े अंश, प्राभृतिकाप्राभृतिका-अध्याय के छोटे अंश, संग्रहणी-प्राभृत आदि में वर्णित विषय को एक-दो गाथाओं में 5 बताया, चूलिका वस्तु-चूलिका के अध्ययन।
Elaboration-It appears that Drishtivad is not just a voluminous book. The subject compiled in it were numerous and they all were discussed minutely and in great detail. That is why the list of its divisions is much longer and more informative as compared with that of other shruts.
These divisions are defined as follows
Vastu-larger sections or volumes, Prabhrit-medium sized 15 sections or parts, Prabhrit-prabhrit-smaller sections or chapters,
Prabhritikas—longer portions of a chapter, Prabhritika5 prabhritikas-shorter portions of a chapter, Sangrahani-list of 4 subjects given in a few verses, Chulika vastu-sections of a chulika.
