Illustration No. 11 सिद्ध शिला में सिद्धों का निवास गणधर इन्द्रभूति भगवान से पूछते है-भन्ते ! सिद्ध आत्मा कहाँ निवास करती हैं ?
उत्तर में भगवान महावीर कहते हैं-तिर्यक् लोक से करोड़ों योजन ऊपर जाने पर सौधर्म कल्प आदि बारह देव विमान हैं। इनसे करोड़ों योजन ऊपर नवग्रैवेयक विमान हैं। ग्रैवेयक विमानों से अनेक योजन ऊपर पाँच अनुत्तर विमान हैं। इन पाँच विमानों में अनेक देव निवास करते हैं। इनमें सबसे ऊपर सर्वार्थ सिद्ध विमान हैं। उसके सर्वोच्च शिखर से बारह योजन ऊपर ईषत् प्राग्भारा पृथ्वी है। यह पृथ्वी पैंतालीस लाख योजन लम्बीचौड़ी है। इसकी कुल परिधि एक करोड़ बयालीस लाख तीस हजार दो सौ उनचास (१,४२,३०,२४९) योजन
से कुछ अधिक है। 8 यह पृथ्वी ठीक मध्य भाग में आठ योजन मोटी है। फिर दोनों तरफ क्रमशः पतली होती-होती सबसे अन्तिम 9 किनारों पर मक्खी की पाँख से भी अधिक पतली है। (यह उलटे रखे छत्र के आकार की है)
मनुष्य लोक से देह त्याग कर जो आत्मा अष्टकर्म मुक्त होकर वहाँ जाते हैं, वे उसी त्यक्त देह की घनाकार ठोस आकृति में पूर्व देह के तिहाई भाग कम अवगाहना में स्थित होते हैं।
एक सिद्ध की अवगाहना में अन्य अनन्त सिद्धों की अवगाहन अवगाढ-समाहित हो जाती है। अमूर्त तथा * अगुरु-लघु होने से उनमें किसी प्रकार की बाधा उत्पन्न नहीं होती। ये सभी आत्मा केवलज्ञान-केवलदर्शन के चिन्मय-ज्योति स्वरूप में स्थित है।

Bhagavan Mahavir replies-Millions of Yojans above the Tiryak lok there are twelve celestial vehicles including Saudharm Kalp. Millions of Yojans above these are Nava-Graiveyak Vimans. Many Yojans above these are five Anuttar Vimans. Many gods reside in these five celestial vehicles. Highest among these is the Sarvarth Siddha Viman. Twelve Yojans above the highest point of this Viman is located the Ishatpragbhara Prithvi. This world is four million five hundred thousand (45,00,000) Yojans long and wide with a circumference of slightly more than fourteen million two hundred thirty thousand two hundred forty nine (1, 42, 30, 249) Yojans.
This Prithvi is eight Yojan deep at the center tapering down to the thickness of me the wings of a house-fly at its periphery. (Its shape is like an upturned umbrella)
After abandoning the body as human beings the souls that are liberated from eight type of karmas reach there and occupy a space one third less than that occupied by their solid earthly bodies.
The space occupied by one Siddha is also occupied by infinite other Siddhas. As these souls are formless and non-gross or subtle there is no problem in their occupying the same space. All these souls exist in an eternal glow-like state of Keval Jnana and Keval Darshan.
