Vāyuvega condemned his highhandedness, and there eosued an ar.ned cyofrontation between them. At that juncture Dharanendra the king of Nagas, made his appearance. He caught hold of V. and whisked him away. v. was brought to a peak of the Kāncap 3-saila on the mount Kșudr was Prabbavati disguised as Dharan:odra who had rescued V. The Vidyādhara assembly had dispersed. Satisfied at Māgasavega's defeat and V's rescue, Angāravati took Somasri back to the Pramada-paik.

The kidnapper then changed into another charming girl, who introduced herself as Hemayasa, She introduced the other seven girls as Suvegā, Lokasuodari, Surambba, Ketumati, Sauda nini, Vidyunmati and Hemamālion. They were identified by V. as the sa ne eight girls he had previously seen at the Koşthaka sanctuary during the celebrations of Namidāsa's attainment of Kevala(74).
