Hemayaśā related to V. her own account and that of her companions. She herself was the daughter of the Vidyadhara king Hemadamstra, while the others, her cousin sisters, were daughters of royal monk Bhāradvāja. All of them were staying in the latter's hermitage, engaged in acquiniog the Vidyās. Two monks had predicted that V. was to be their husband. The girls bad seen hin first at the Kosthaka-caitya festival and had fallen in love with him. As they could not bear with further delay, they devised this plan to met bin and units with him wedlock. V. admitted he himself was attracted towards them at their first sight. He however thought it improper to marry then is the absene of Prabhāvati who had done so much for him, and who must be suffering at that moment. Thereupon Hemayaśā went to fetch Prabhāvati (75-77). Assuming again the form of Mānasavega through her magic powers, she met Prabhāva'i and tried to test her love for V. Through
her powers she even let fall in Prabhāvati's lap the magically created severed head of V..'rablāva i bocane caviaced that V. was killed by Mā 19aveg 1. Disperate with grief, she was on the point of committing suicide by falling from a precipice, but at that moment Hemayaśā created a magic illusion wherein she appeared attacking Mānasavega, who consequently fled (77 79) Then she told Prabhāvati the made-up story of how she and her frieods came to know of Maoasavega attacking V., and how they rescued the latter and took him to their camp. At V.'s behest, she came to protect Prabbāvati from Mänasavega's herassment. Thereafter she brought Prabhāvati to V. Grateful Prabhavati willingly consented to V.'s marriage with the eight girls. The marriage was celebrated with great pomp created by Hemayaśā's magic powers (79-82). V. enjoyed all sort of divine pleasures provided by the ten types of wish-fulfilling trees (Kalpataru) (Each of the trees described in detail) (82-85).
III Winning of Megbanālā

V. wanted Hemayaśā to assist Prabhāvati in re-acquiring the Vidyas. As Nandanvana was an auspicious place for this purpose, all of them left for that place by the aerial car created by Hemayaśā. On the way the newly won girls showed to V. the beautiful regions of Mount Ksudra. Himavat, Hemavraja-Vars?, Mount Mahā-Himavat, Harivarsa, Mount Nişadha, Devakuru, Mouat Naodada and Pāņdakavana as they passed them one by one. They arrived at the Nandanavana (86-91). Enjoying the various beautiful sites, they drank beavenly wine naturally produced there. (91-92).
Hemayasa initiated Prabhāvati in the ritual of mastering Mahaprajnapti, which required to matter the spell remaining standing alone for seven days in chest-deep water.
