________________ A Treatise on Jainism 53 tory activities of mind, speech and body (Yoga). If the vibratory activity is with passion, the inflow leads to bondage of soul by karmic matter. It is called Samparayika or Mundane Inflow. If it is without passion, i.e. purely vibratory in the 11th, 12th and 13th spiritual stages and does not lead to bondage it is called Iryapatha or transient or fleeting Inflow. The causes of Inflow of the Eight Karmas are as under :1 & 2. Knowledge and Conation-obscuring Karmas. The inflow of Knowledge and Conationobscuring Karmic matter is caused by the following : (1) Depreciation of those who are learned in the scriptures. (2) Concealment of knowledge. (3) Envy; Jealousy, Refusal to impart knowledge out of envy. (4) Obstruction. Hindering the progress of knowledge. (5) Denying the truth, proclaimed by another, by body and speech.
