He had divined his thoughts correctly. Muni Suvrata assured him that no such identical persons are ever born at the same time in the same yuga and in the same ksetra. It never had happened in the past nor would it happen in the future and it was not so at the present moment. No two Tirthankaras, no two sovereigns, no two Baladevas and so no two Vasudevas could be born at the same time. Then he explained to Kapila Vasudeva how Väsudeva Krsna had come to Aparakanka where Padmanabha had forcibly brought Draupadi, the wife of the five Pandavas from Hastinapura and how this act of violence had forced Vasudeva Krsna to come to Aparkanka for the rescue of Draupadi. When Krsna's encounter with Padmanabha was to begin, he sounded the conch which distracted Kapila Vasudeva's mind. When he was thus enlightened by the muni, he expressed his desire to go quickly over to Aparkanka and meet the eminent Krsna Vasudeva and pay his respects to him. The muni remarked that such a thing was not done. No two Tirthankaras, no two sovereigns, no two Baladevas nor Vasudevas ever met each other. Kapila Vasudeva would only be able to see the tips of Krsna Vasudeva's white and yellow banners while he crossed the Lavaṇa-sea. Kapila Vasudeva took the muni's advice and refrained from going to Aparakankā to meet Krsna Vasudeva. Instead he only went to the sea coast and when he noticed the white and yellow banners fluttering in the wind, he blew aloud his own conch and on hearing its sound Kṛṣṇa Vasudeva also responded in a similar manner by way of greeting. Kapila Väsudeva then quickly went to Aparakanka. Padmanabha explained how the total destruction of his city came about and the part Krsna Vasudeva had played in it. But Kapila was quite enraged and he reprimanded Padmanabha for having offended the great Krsna who in fact was his own replica. He pronounced the order of expulsion on Padmanabha and crowned his son as king of Aparakanka and went back.
When Krsna and the Pandavas came along with Draupadi to the bank of the Ganga, Krsna said he would leave them there to cross the river on their own while he would wait a little and thank god Susthita, the lord of the Lavana-sea, who had helped them all to reach Aparkanka safely. The Pandavas found a small boat and
