________________ Subhasitas in Gunapala's Jambucariyam ६४ सुयणो सुसहाबो अणुसासिज्ज तो वि दुज्ञणजणेण । छारेण दुप्पणी इव अहिययर निम्मलो जाओ ।। ( ७.३४) " 64. A good man of a pure nature, being ruled by a wicked man, becomes all the more pure like a mirror rubbed with ashes. (7. 34) ६५. दुज्जगजगवणकिलामिओ वि पराई न सज्जनो मुबइ । सरद राहुमुहडिओ वि अमय थिय मयंको ॥ ( ७.३५) 65. A good man does not give up his (good) nature though afflicted by the words of a wicked man, just like a moon which sheds nectar even though it is engulfed in the mouth by Rahu (7, 35 ). ६६ सुयणो सरलसहावो, अप्पाण पिव पर पिमन्नेव । न मुणइ कुलिपि मगं परस्स निवसच्छहावेण ॥ Jain Education International ६७ सुयणो न याण च्चिय, खलस्स हिययाई हुंति विसमाई । अताणहिययमुग्रचणेग हिवय समप्पेई । ( १२.३५-३६) 139 66. A good man of pure nature takes the other as he takes himsel. Due to his own good nature, he is not able to detect the crooked mind of the other. 67. A good man does not know that the hearts of the villains are not straight. On account of the purity of his own heart, he dedicates it to others. (13. 35-36). सुयजन्म (Son's birth) ६८ जह य पईवो डइ, सयल पि घरोयर सुपज्जलिओ । तह फिर कुल मुवम्मो एत्थ लोग नि ।। (९४) 68. The birth of a son brings lustre to family here in this world just as a well-lit lamp illumines the whole interior of the house. ( 9. 4). पइण्ण (Miscellaneous ) ६९ जी जलविदुसम, संपतीओ तरंगलोलाओ । सुमिणसम' च पेम्म' जं जाणह तं कुणिमाह । ( ८.५६ ) 3 69, Life is like a drop of water and the wealth as transcient as the waving waves. Love resembles dream. Behave (then) in the light of your knowledge.
