It shows its author has a vision which sees objects beyond time and space, 48 though the Satysamhita reading also is inaccurate at times. 4 T Or there is another conclusion also possible. And it is this that there was in ancient times a plenty of Samhita literature with an elaborate technique which gave only the results leaving to the arthodox school of astrology to explain. In other words, the Samhitās were supplementary, and not antagonistic, to Jätakas and Siddhantas of the established schools of astrology. The principles on which these Samhitas might be ultimately resting, cannot be found out by inerely comparing different readings of only one Samhita. For that, one should collect different Samhita readings of one and the same horoscope and study them. Then and the only their stand can be rightly understood. Normally these Samhita works are found in the Deccan. I have heard of the Bhadrabahusamhita, Bhrgusamhita and Sat yasanhita, but I have also heard that there are still more Nādigranthas. I am sure an attempt to unearth these Samhitas will yield rich results.
सत्यसंहितोत्पत्ति:48 उज्जयिन्यां महाराजः पूर्व शत्रुविशोधनः । विक्रमादित्यभूपालो भूम्यां शक्र इवापरः ॥१॥ दाने कर्णो गुणैः पूर्णो गाम्भीर्य वार्णवोपमः । पण्डितानाञ्च पोषी स्यातू पूर्वभाषी प्रियंवदः ॥२॥
काव्यनाटकवेत्ता च महाकविरपि स्वयम् । मोदवान् गुणवान् लोके शास्त्रज्ञान विनोदवान् ॥३॥
चतुःषष्टिकलाभूमिः राजनीतिमहादक्षो
सर्वभुमिपसेवितः । रिपुराजसुशिक्षण: ॥४॥
गुणवान् गुणपक्षी च श्रितरक्षां विवेद यः । तत्सभायां सभातारा बहवश्च तदाऽभवन् ॥५॥
कुशाग्रधिषणः प्राज्ञो विषणेन समो भुवि । गणितज्ञो महाप्राज्ञो ज्योति:शास्त्रविशारदः ॥६॥
तेष्वेकोऽभून्महाबुद्धिः सत्याचार्य इति श्रुतः । नानातन्त्रेषु कुशलो ज्योतिःशास्त्रविचक्षणः ॥७॥
महायोगी महाज्ञानी सर्वसिदान्तवेत्ता च
देवतागुरुभक्तिमान् । तत्त्ववित्तत्त्वबोधकः ॥४॥
