Looking to my habit and training of my boyhood he encouraged me in my reading of the Bhagavad Gita, and he advised me to read among other books Panchikarana, Maniratanamala, non-attachment chapter of Yoga Vashistha, first part of Kavya Dohana and his own composition Mokshamala. He repeatedly said in his talks with me that the various religions are prisons in which men are prisoners. Whoever wants liberation should jump out of them and should not bear any religious mark on his body. His simple advice is 'live easily and in such a way that you can attain the Lord.' Akha Bhagat gave the same advice. Sri Raichandbhai never bothered with religious differences. They used to choke him." Some anecdotes of Srimad's life S 1. Once he had gone out for a walk in Bombay and on his way he came near a cemetery. He asked his friend who was with him in his walk as to what was the place they came by. His friend replied 'cemetery'. He said that he viewed the whole Bombay city as a cemetery. 2.
