1 SIDDHASENA DIVAKARA
Now at the end of an old manuscript of the Cürņi on Nisitha Sutra is given the date of its composition as Saka± 598 (Vikrama 733, A.D. 676 ). In this Cūrgi there three references3 his to Siddhasena and work
are
Sanmati
जिणदासगणिमहत्तरेण रइया I नमः
नमो सुयदेवयाए भगवतीए । तीर्थंकृदभ्यः ॥ छ ॥ छ ॥ शुभं भवतु । संवत् १५३१ वर्षे फाल्गुनसुदि २ लिखित – N. C. Vol. II p. 463.

दंसणा । अस्य व्याख्या -सुत्तत्थगतदुगाधा | दंसणप्पभावगाण सत्थान सम्मदियादिसुतणाणे य जो विसारदो णिस्संकियसुत्तस्थो त्ति वृत्तं भवति सो य उत्तिमट्ठपडिवन्ना सो य जत्य खेत ठिओ तस्थंतरा वा वेरज्जं मा त सुत्तस्थं • बोच्छिज्जतु त्ति अओ तग्गहणट्टया पकप्पति वेरजविरुद्ध संकमणं काऊ--p. 238. अथवा तिसु माइल्लेसु णिव्वत्तणाधिकरण तत्थ ओरालिए एगिंदियादि पंचविधं, सं जोणीपाहुडातिणा जहा सिद्धसेणायरिएण अस्सा पकता --N. In addition to those three references there is another reference to the Upayogābhedavāda of Siddhasena-This important reference is to be found in Dasacurņi. In the third chapter of Dasacurņi, among the insults to the Guru, enumerated there, one is as follows :
If a disciple criticises his preceptor in the presence of the audience gathered to hear the preceptor's discourse by saying"The interpretation of this sūtra as given by my preceptor is
