The second is Chhedopastlapan which consists of taking some penance or re-cntering the ascetic life, on account of some fault of the man. Third is Parihar Vishudhi which means the avoidance of any injury while moving about. Sukslim Samparaya is the endcavour to root out the residue of passions after its tumult has subsided. The fifth consists in observing the rules of highest character. The twelve kinds of Tapas or “the checks to the career of The Tapas ac desires," are enumerated in the last fooi-noic, We have thus seen what are the factors of the principie of Samar. Partial destruction here means that some of thic Karmas are yet to run ilicir course. Then comes loksha which is defined as "freedom from Nokslin cvery Karma." In this siate, matcrial body disappcars and only the soul consisting of infinite wisdom and insight remains. We have thus treated of the Serri: Principles.
