but Jainism is no name of a propbet. It claims its conguests it every section of the Indian community where it was Jainism that spread humanity and manliness. The Vedic sacrifices were dis. continued; the Budhistic atheism was exposed; the Hindu philos. phy was brought nearer to truth by the post Budhic revivalists; the defects of Adwaitism were brought home to the minds of the Hindus and cruelty to the most trifling life was stopped or softened in vast populations all over India. It is not a small record. But here too, it does not end. Jainism is truth and truth is Jainism. It contains the best-known truth and whercyer truth wins. Can we not then say, with a German Professor,
जिरणपवयरणं पसिद्धं जंवूदीवम्हि चेव सव्वम्हि । किति जसं च अचिरा पावेज्जउ सयलपुढ विये ।।
