It is said, in Harivamsa 32nd adhyaya Sl. 75-76, that the descendants of Mitrayu, who was a Kshatriya, became Brahmans and were adopted into the family of Bhrigu. They, accordingly, pronouce the name of Bhrigu in their Pravara.

Gritsamada, who was a kshatriya, being a descendant of King Purúravas, became a Bráhman and went into the family of S'unaka, a descendant of Bhrigu.||

The Pravaras throw a doubt as to whether Divodasa was the son or father of Vadhryasva This difference, however, is not of much consequence.
