________________ Samadhi Shataka 59 Contemplation on soul is Samadhi. यदग्राह्यंन गण्हाति, गृहति नापि मूञ्चति । जानाति सर्वथा सर्वः तत्र स्वंसंवेद्यमस्म्यहं ।। २० ।। In this verse, Acharya, with firm confidence and self experience proclaims that Samadhi is the matter of self experience of the soul. The soul never absorbs the Dravya karma, and Bhava Karma the former being the consequence of physical activities and the latter mental one. Both these karmas are related to Jiva as an extenal contact as in the case of oil and water and never as an isidentity as in the case of water into water. The Jiva being subdued by ignorance tends to get identified with these Karmas but the Karmas, on the conrary, are averse from and unamenable to Jiva. The body remains as a body and the same is appli cable to Karmas, passions etc. They cannot be one with the Jiva.
