________________ Samadhi Shataka Abandonment of observances and non-observances. अपुण्यमव्रतेः पुण्यं व्रतंर्मोक्षस्तयोऽव्ययः । अव्रतानीव मोक्षार्थी व्रतान्यपि ततस्त्येजेत् ॥ ८३ ॥ 133 In this verse, the real significance and limits of the religious observances and non-observances are given When one follows and abides by the religious and moral observances one increases one's merit storage; when one does not abide by the observances and goes how and wherever thinks, that is, one follows the nondecreases and makes leak one's one reserviour. According to Acharya observances, one merit observa nces and non-observances, following of which is an obstacle, a hindrance in the aspirant's way to Moksha, for both the observances as well as non-observances are fetters and chains around the feet, former being golden and latter iron; this much difference is there. In short, both are barring one from attaining the Moksha. -
