Sometimes the true spirit of the suffix is observed in the Dvyāśrayakāvya which is rarely seen elsewhere e g. DV. VIII. 21 :
Besides these characteristics of poetry, there are a number of blemishes consisting of apras ddhadoșa, Srutikațutvadosa and Vidheyavimarśadosa etc. which are very natural because of the definite motive in hand
Amongst figures of speech? Hemacandra has used anuprāsa, Yaniaka, Vakrokti, Ślesa, Rūpaka, Sandeha, Virodha, Vyatireka, Virodhābhāsa, Bhrā. ntimăn, smarana, Yathāsamkhya and Svabhāvokti. His Rūpaka, Svabhāvokti, Upamā and Utprekṣā arc par excellence His similes cover a number of erudite fields which are rarely found in any work His sense of bringing the mythological characters, social substances as Upamānas particularly the grammar is rarely seen elsewhere. His explanation of compound in the battlefield is excellent e. g. Dv. V. 29
