Muni for his occasional suggestions. He has put me under great obligation by reading and approving this introduction.
Pt. Shri Dalsukhbhai Malvania, ex-Director (now Adviser) of the L. D. Institute of Indology has helped me in many ways. He is a great scholar who has edited many old texts. He made many valuable suggestions pertaining to the editing work. I discussed with him various readings. His profound knowledge of the Jaina Agamas has solved many of my difficulties. He went through this introduction and made useful suggestions. He made available to me many mss. and microfilms which were necessary for the editing work. For all this help I am extremely grateful to him.
I discussed many readings with Dr. H. C. Bhayani, an eminent scholar of Prakrit. Thus he helped me in selecting correct readings. Again, he went through all the three appendices pertaining to wordindex and made valuable suggestions. I express my sincere thanks to him.
My thanks are also due to Shri Ratilal Dipchand Desai for reading carefully and approving this introduction with one valuable suggestion. It is he who brought to the notice of many the indispensability of the Jaina Āgama Prakāśana Granthamālă conducted by Shri Mahavir Jaina Vidyalaya.
