7. The reading anupaliyă (sūtra 639) is available in all the mss. used. It is found in the Nemicandrīyaţikā as also in the text of the Uttaradhyayanasūtra printed along with the Paiyatīkā and the Nemicandrīyatīkā. It is yielded by the old mss. of the Päiyaţikā. But the printed edition of the Paiyaţikā has the reading anupaleur.
8. The reading pavvae (sūtra 735) is yielded by all the mss. used as also by the mss. of the Paiyaţikā and the Nemicandrīyaţikā. But the printed editions of the Päiyatīkā and the Nemicandrīyatīkā as also the text of the Uttarādhyayanasūtra printed along with these commentaries contain the reading pavvaie.
9. The reading sarvām is available in the old ms. of the Paiyaţikā, whereas the printed edition of this tikā contains the reading sarvatah. Refer to foot-note 1 on page 212.
10. The reading anaikkamana occurring in sūtra 1028 is available in all the mss. used as also in the old mss. of the Päiyaţikā and the Nemicandrīyatīkā. But the printed edition of the Pāiyațākā and the Nemicandriyatīkä has the reading anaikkamanăi in its place.
11. The reading atthamuhuttă is available in all the mss. except to and ao. It is accepted in the Paiyațīkā. The Nemicandrīyaţikā contains no explanation of this sūtra-pada, whereas the text of the Uttarādhyayanasūtra printed along with the Pāiyațīko and the Nemicandrīyatīkā has corrupt reading amtamuhuttam.
12. The printed edition of the Nemicandrīyaţikā contains the corrupt reading kevalam jñānam instead of the correct reading kevalajñānam yielded by the old mss. of the Nemicandrīyatīkā. Refer to foot-note 18 on p. 295.
13. Though the printed edition of the Paiyatīk, contains the correct explanation, the concerned portion of the sūtra text printed along with it contains the corrupt reading. Refer to foot-note 19 on p. 308.
14. Due to the neglect of examining various mss. of the Paiyațākā and the Nemicandrīyatīkā many corruptions have remained in their printed edition. For this one may refer to foot-note 19 on p. 318.
