the children of God : and if children, then heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ, if so be that we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified together."-Romans
viii. 16–17. Again in 2 Timothy ii. 11-12 he writes : - If we be dead with him, we eball also live with him ; if
we suffer, we shall also reign with him." In 2 Cor. iv. 10 he writes : Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord
Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest
in our mortal flesh.” It is the grace of the Messiah within which is impli. ed in the doctrine of Grace, not the favour of a friend at Court, For well does Mahomed say in the Holy Qur'an : “ Dread the day wherein one soul shall not make satisfaction
for another soul ; neither shall any intercession be accepted from them, por shall any compensation be received,
peither shall they be helped ” (Sura Baqr). " No Soul shall acquire any merits or demerits but for itself ;
and wo burdened soul shall bear the burden of another"
(Sura Anam). In the New Testament, too, jesus says with reference to himself :(1) “If you love me, keep my commandments"
(John, xiv. 15).
