Pride natured jealousy etc are mean mentality which leads to mental illness pain such attitude creates turmoil in our life which starts with attachment desires for comfort & material things one struggles more & more, day and night,& then to be successful he give birth to deceit, stealing, bribing, cheating.
To be wealthy in over night he becomes corrupt which ends in sain instead of pleasure by loosing mental & spiritual health he also ooses physical health. Source or origin of pleasure & pain is same lesire, attachment, possessiveness which leads to violence & violence eads to suffering, losing peace, tranquility & good health.
