There is violence but there is also desire for peace to be kind, mild & gentle. World is becoming more & more efficient & therefore more & more ruthless. You can influence the world if you yourself are not violent. If you lead your life peaceful, ņot competitive, ambitious or envious and does not create enmity.

Islam & Terrorism - Mark Grabriel Jihad is command to all muslims enforced by Quran. Focus of Jihad is to overcome people who don't accept Islam. In Mohammad's day, Jihad was practiced against christians & Jews as well as people who were idol worshippers or any one who didn't convert to Islam.
