Shrut-Skandh means a o T A compilation of scriptural knowledge. The Basic Scriptureisfirst BIA, P O 0 divided in Shrut-Skandh. Shrut-Skandh is then divided in TA BPE O chapters. The chapters are further divided in Uddeshak. O TANT Ya O Uddeshak mean onelesson. In earlier days, one Uddeshak was 6 A F completed in one lesson. In the present Sutra Upasak-dasha, La LO O A M there is no Uddeshak. But the words ‘Ek Sarga’ indicate that D O O E L TA each chapter is similar to one-another. The entire Agam is in W O O T T R prose. It is not in verse or poetic style. Another meaning of A W F P O ‘Sarga’ is that every chapter is a lesson (Prakaran). According to O O ancient practice, the study of its ten chapters was completed in o I i A r OT ten days. But in the end it was allowed to be completed in two om T r A y TA daysalso.
