5 Then Megh Kumar said—“You haverightly said that I should
é first enjoy with my wives. But dear parents, the worldly &@
«ae enjoyments are certainly unclean, temporary, worthy of being %
vomited out, cause ofillness in the body. They affect the blood in
the body. They cause bad smell, dirty urine. The stool becomes
a
repulsive. They generate filth, stool, urine, vomit and other &
diseases arising out of inner ill health and blood. They are all 6
s temporary, despicable, worthy of decline and worthy of being
~ discarded sooneror later. O dear parents ! Who knows, who will %
3 die first. So with your permission, I want to get initiated near
ds) Bhagavan Mahavir.”
: Thereafter, Megh Kumar's parents said—“O son! The wealth 2
(gold, silver, other material, clothes, jewellery, pearls, rubies,
<) emerald, etc.) collected during the last seven generations bythe @
*\ grandfather, his father and the forefathers shall not finish even
eS if it is enjoyed to the full. So, O son ! First enjoy this wealth, 6
4 thereafter get initiated near Bhagavan Mahavir after getting +
% your head shaved anddiscarding your household.” Ks
Y, Then Megh Kumar said—“Whatever you say is correct. But #%
dear parents ! This wealth (gold etc.) can be destroyed byfire,it
s) can be stolen or may haveto beleft after death. It can be shared
<) by family members. It has to be left sooneror later. So dear €
ss parents ! It is not known whois going to leave this world first.
x Therefore, please permit me to getinitiated which is my earnest
