बाह्यान्तरङ्गसामग्रे, परमात्मनि भावना । योऽभ्युदेति आत्मनः तत् सम्यग्दर्शनं मतम् ॥ २८ ॥
The true insight is that arises in the soul when there is the contemplation of the true self in the presence of the totality of the internal and external efficient causes (28).
हिन्दी अनुवाद :
बाह्य और आभ्यन्तर सामग्रीरूप निमित्त के मिलने पर जो आत्मा की भावना होती है, उसे सम्यग्दर्शन कहते हैं ।
स्वपरिच्छित्तिपुराणं यत्, तत्प्रतिच्छित्तिकारणम् । ज्योतिः प्रदीपवद्वाति, सम्यग्ज्ञानं तदीरितम् ॥ २९ ॥
The right knowledge is said to be that which shines like flame and is the immediate cause of perceiving the objects as well as discriminating between the self and non-self. (29).

सम्यग्ज्ञान ज्वाला के समान प्रकाशित होता है, वह वस्तुओं का आकलन करता है और आत्मा (यत्) तथा परद्रव्य (तत्) में भेद करता है ।
