Publisher's Note
The book 'The Heritage of Last Arhat’was first published in 1930 by Shri Phulchandji Ved, Secretary, Shri Yashovijaya Jain Granthamala, Bhavanagar. On demands of the readers Parshvanath Vidyapeeth decided to reprint this book to make it available to the readers. This is a compilation of the lectures delivered by Charlotte Krause long back. This scholarly monograph beautifully records the principal teachings of Lord Mahāvīra and their impact on the India's Social and Cultural Heritage.
Parshvanath Vidyapeeth feels emense pleasure in bringing out this edition on the eve of Lord Mahāvīra's 2596th Birth anniversary, (20th April, 1997) with minor change only in the title of the book.
We are very thankful to the author Charlotte Krause and authorities of the publisher Shri Yashovijaya Jain Granthamala Bhavanagar (Gujarat).
