The Pali counterpart samayarea (sing.) should be samācarati acc. to a Jataka verse quoted below. For such optative forms standing for Present, as also for Past, cf. adea=Pāli vyadheti, vyadhesi (Balav. v. 4, p. 183). For instances where the final a coriesponds to the Pāli suffix tha (3rd pers.) cf. jaea (Pali jāyetha), Puşav, v. 14, p. 152; yaea Pāli yajetha), Sabasav. v. 6-11.
