है शौनक उत्पन्न वस्तुओं का आरंभ नहि मालूम उन का मध्य मालूम है अन्त नहि मालूम तो क्यों शोच करना चाहिए
O Shounak, the origin of creatures is unknown, the middle of their existence is known, their end, too, in unknown. Why should there be lamentation for it? नापाप्तकालो म्रियते विद्धः शरशतैरपि । कुशाग्रेण तु संस्पृष्टः प्राप्तकालो न जीवति ॥ - जिसका काल नहि आया वह नहि मरता चाहै सौ तीर क्यों न लगें और जिसका काल आपहुंचा है तिनके से छूने पर मरजाता है
One whose time of death has not come, does not die, tho' pierced with a hundered arrows. But one whose time of death is come, does not live, tho' touched with a blade of grass Only
भूतपूर्व कृतं कर्म कर्तारमनु तिष्ठति ।
यथा धेनुसहस्रेषु वत्सो विन्दति मातरम् ॥ ___ पहिले किये हुए करम का फल करने हारे को ऐसे पहुंचता है जैसे हजारों गौमों में वच्छा मां को पहिचान लेता है
An action, done before, follows its doer (in consequences), as a calf gets to its mother in the midst of thousands of cows.
सर्वं परवशं दुःखं सवमात्मवशं सुखं ।
एतद् विद्यात् समासेन लक्षणं सुखदुःखयोः।। पराधीनता में दुःख स्वतंत्रता में सुख होता है यह संक्षेप से सुख दुख का अर्थ जानना चाहिए
All dependence is pain. All independence is ples. sure. One should know this to be a definition of pleature and pain in brief.
