________________ thanks to the people at Ahimsa Bhawan who made Sue and I feel part of their community. There was Mishra, Vinod, Kishor, Ashok, Vachispati, Mr. Bir; and the monks and nuns, especially Kastur Muniji, Vivak Muni, Siddhaswara Muni, Sadhvi Deepti, and Lakshita. They all made us feel at home away from home. Special thanks must go to the technical work done in the printing and computer type setting offices of Narendar Jain and Capital Photostat. First, Narendar Jain oversaw and helped to problem-solve the project from start to finish. Also, Rahul, for his English language skills, Manoj, for his labors, and Hira Lal Gupta, for his computer expertise, were invaluable in the all-important typesetting stages. Vachispati of Ahimsa Bhawan accompanied me and Sue on many wild and wooly auto-rickshaw rides through heavy Delhi traffic, especially to the busy printing offices in charming Old Delhi. Finally, I would like to thank the sun, the moon, and the stars in the cosmos for their abiding presence. It is symbolic that the Hale-Bopp comet appeared most brightly while the book was being prepared, in FebruaryApril, 1997. Perhaps Guruji is not quite gone after all.
