________________ Vastu Chart which appears earlier in the book, in its explanation (Page 1617) prescribes, in addition to Prayer Place Deity Room, only the following usage of it:Well, Water Sump (Underground tank, not overhead tank here), Bore-well, Door, Gate, Verandah, Drawing Room, Car Portico and Cellar....and NOT AT ALL Toilet, Kitchen, Bed Room, etc., as discussed and clarified earlier. Importance of the North East “deva moole” From Jain Vaastu point of view As regards the position and importance of the North East place either in one's home/work premises or in our nation India's topography, it enjoys prime supremacy. 1. Jain Cosmology, Philosophy, faith and Live experience of Great Past and Present Seers all specify the existence of another Cosmic Divine World called “Mahavideha Kshetra”, which is again divided in four gigantic areas in its North, East, South, West directions and is occupied by Present Day Arihantas along with Kevalajnani and other disciples. This Mahavideha Kshetra, only approached by realized sublime souls through their rare astro-flying Spiritual Voyage, is different and separate in this vast cosmos, which consists of Bharata Kshetra, i.e., India also. Direction of said Mahavideha Kshetra lies in the North East of Bharata Kshetra, India. Mahavideha is sacred Divine Land, so to say God's Land, the Deva Moole in right sense of the word. For every devout Jain Aspirant, it is the holiest place next to the Supreme Siddha Shila — the eternal Abode of the Siddha Paramatmas. In short, the Mahavideha Kshetra situated in the directions of North East, is a Holy Place of Worship even if far and far away from this Bharat Kshetra, or present day India. We worship here perfect vaastu-shilpa based Teerthas Abu-Dilwara, Ranakpur, Shatrunjaya, Girnar etc. in the West, Sammed Shikharji in North East and Shravanabelagola and Moodabidri in the South. One can imagine, how much importance and significance this Deva Moole North East direction bears for a Jain Sadhaka. 2. In Bharata Kshetra, India, 20+2 out of 24 Arihant Tirthankaras, particularly the last two Parswanath and Mahaveera, wandered spreading their Dharmachakra and ultimātely attained NIRVANA in North East part of nagara 109
